How do I use the 5 in 1 memory card reader on the Gateway T-6345u? I can't find user instructions anywhere. When I physically access the card reader device, a plastic piece with 5 different sized and shaped holes comes out and I don't know what to do with it.

This is on a Gateway T-6345u Laptop that I just got from Fry's.

😕

Ordinarily you just stick the card into the slot. Each slot should be marked with what cards are compatible. They often have place holder blanks to get debris and dust out of there.

If I understand you correctly, the plastic piece is only there as a protector. You take it out and just leave it on your desk if you want. Pop in your memory card and access it from windows explorer.

Thanks to all of you for your tips. I had a stupid moment, which is happening more aften at my age. The slot I was trying to use for the media card was the type54 Express card slot.

Thanks again for your help!
