First unpaid job - junior counselor at a summer recreational camp for kids.
First paid job - Burger King 🙁 in ~1987

First job out of high school was being a stock boy at Dart Drugs in Virgina. It was such a bad dead end job, it convinced me to go to college. And I hated going to school.

I worked at a Car Wrecker. Mostly doing all the work no one wanted to do or was too dangerous.

In return I got to go nuts and smash up any of the old cars or drive the ones that actually still worked and smash them into other cars. It was fun.

Kroger's cashier and then night manager when I was in college.

Bad - arguing with drunks who wanted to buy beer after hours.

Good - partying with the stock boys on the night shift. 🙂

Pay averaged 40 something a week. It was the '70s.

youth soccer referee; worked in a warehouse for my grandfather for a bit

though, what i consider to be my first "real" job was at McDonald's

Hmm, pretty sure is was working with the City Of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department as a soccer coach, big money at 14 it was 7.00/Hr then 9.00 to referee.

Mowing lawns, building concrete block walls. So I went to college for nine years to get a BS, MS, and most of a PhD. This week I worked building rock walls. Go figure.

14 - started an eBay business with a friend. For the first two years when the coals were hot we were making $1200 a month each for very little work.
16 - my first real job was at a car wash; I only worked there for two days.

I was spoiled when I was young, so I didn't start my first job until the end of freshmen year in college.
18 - Desktop Publisher @ Marine Technology company.
