1st Build.... nothing happened. Help please

shit....

Everything's assembled, turn power on and no picture.

Intel Q9950, P5Q-E, Mishkin DDR2 800 RAM, Radeon 4850

All the fans are spinning (case fans, HSK, and Graphics Card)
I can feel the hard drive spinning
The CD try opens and closes.
The power button on the mobo is illuminated red and the reset button is green
The hard drive and power LEDs on the case are not on.
Monitor is connected through the left DVI port on the Radeon 4850
4 GB currently installed correctly.
I removed all of the RAM, powered on and got beeps indicating memory error.

But nothing else happens. No beeps, nothing on the monitor.

I'm a Noob here so rack you brain for common errors. Where do I start to troubleshoot? What are some common assembly mistakes that can be made so I can check... where do I go from here?

Check everything that you had to manually install, GPU, memory, all psu connections... Make sure nothing is loose and everything is seated correctly.

Also try going down to one stick of memory in the primary slot and see if you can get anywhere (beeps, video).

I checked all of the connections. They are all good. Should the power button on the Mobo be red?

PROGRESS! It was a video input issue. Now... I have no keyboard detected because it's wireless... how do I setup everything with a wireless keyboard?

You may just have to get a wired keyboard for that..

Well shit. It worked once and it told me "no hard drive" detected so I plugged in my Hard drives and now it won't POST.

So i disconnected the HDDs and it still won't POST....

in the manual for my mobo, in the ram section, it does not specifically state that my 2GB Mushkin DDR2 800 RAM is supported. Is this my problem?

I have some old 1GBSamsung DDR2 533 RAM.... should I try to put this in? Will the old RAM hurt my mobo?

And any idea what the difference between the ICH10R Sata connectors and the SIL5723 Serial ATA Connectors are?

Yeah i would try some old RAM first, and no it should not do any damage to your mobo

Tried clearing the cmos? Also, got both 24 pin & 6 pin power plugs into motherboard?
