I'm liking BF3 and thinking of replacing my old school GTX260, the big question is what does everyone expect from the next round of amd/nvidia cards? Also my current set up is a Q9650/8GB/vista 64 bit where do I bottle neck for video cards? sli is not supported on my board.
 
Heres an idea you may wanna look into.

If you want to improve what you currently have (i have not seen BF3 benchies for a 260) then i suggest you buy a decent 570 for around $325 then when the new cards come out sell the 570 and buy a 28nm card.

Or a 6970 would be good to, just depending on AMD/nVidia.

Either way you will get a good performance boost, good resale value, and it wont cost you an arm and a leg.
 
OP amd ended up delaying their rollout till q1 2012, but that could change as well. like the guy above me said, if you want to play BF3 now and the 260 won't cut it, you'll have to buy and then re-sell
