I am going to just go with a GTX 570, due to the fact I am playing games at 17 fps (at best) on a 17" Laptop... I don't think I will be too picky with a very nice system.

Back to the Cosair 650W Modular PS, and just added a optical drive... since my old one is IDE.

First lets get something straight, I dont know what daft means and if your calling me stupid then you probably should stop posting because you don't see me calling you names.

Second, lets get back on topic. I understand Hyper 212+ is good enough for mild / high overclocking and thats why I ordered it with my own build. I also know he isn't planning on overclocking. IF I WAS HIM, I wouldn't run on stock heatsink at all. I was simply trying to explain to him the Hyper 212+ will give you great performance overclocking or not.

OP, the GTX 570 will be slightly overkill for the MMORPGs that you currently play. That being said, it's a great way to ensure that you'll be able to crank TOR's graphics up as high as they'll go. Have fun!

Ok woah, whats with the hating on the Intel Stock Cooler? Your telling me that the cooler, without any changes to bio running Mid 30's on idles and never above mid 40's is bad? Hes not overclocking! Look its good advice to go with a aftermarket cooler in any situation but if your not overclocking and on a budget then don't worry. Your not going to have any problems. I got a i5-2500k and am on stock cooling due to being on a budget. I used MSI's OC Genie and it overclocked it to 4.2ghz, and at idle I was at 40 - 43 C, too high for my taste so I immediately went back, but give me a break, the stock cooler will be 100% fine for him if he wants to save the $30 and just run the stock cooler until he decides to overclock.

Ps. I did drop the cooler since I wasn't overclocking. I can always upgrade in the future! I did go with a minimalisitc build, and since i am taking care of the family more than I am gaming, I went with non-SLI, so I can game when I am ready to game! Thanks!

If you're making a $1000 investment, including a ~$200 outlay on the processor alone, there's no harm in suggesting a ~$20-$30 (I got my Gaia for $20 after discounts on Newegg) extra to protect said investment. If you're already paying extra for a K-series chip, it seems to me (IMO) like a waste to not pony up a bit more to actually take advantage of the features you've already paid for.

To OP: Build looks good. You should have no problem killing the games you've listed with it. Good luck and have fun with it.

Your GPU wont be getting you very high graphics, you will hit high and medium no problem but you wont be able to crank up the filtering or anything.

If you can stretch to 1,500 bucks then we would get you something that would blow games out of the water, currently you are sort of just in the mid-range gaming area.

yeah go download Crysis 2 with Dx11 and High texture pack then crank up x16AA.

Or get The Witcher 2 and turn on uber sampling.

Your rig can play things on "high" settings at 1920x1080 maybe but you arent putting on the Post processing filtering or anything. AA, MSAA, SSAA, etc.
