1hr SETI outage coming up....

Just saw this on their front page

OUTAGE ALERT. We will be having a 1 hour data server outage tomorrow, 10/29/2002, for hardware and software upgrades. The outage will begin at 17:30 UT. The web site will be down for part of this time.

Of course we are all running SETIQ/SETIDriver/SETIHide etc so no one will even notice it

BTW, on a barely-related note, what time of day is best to have setiqueue connect? I.E. What time of day is bandwidth use lowest over there?

I seem to remember before they had their own connection that the quiet times were between 1am to 7am ,that's because the students were sleeping then ,however with their own pipe this is no longer an issue.I just set mine to connect 23/7

I thought the formula for figuring outages was SETI_ESTIMATE x 4? So, it should be a four hour outage, not three, right?
