Bwahahaha! :)

The saleslady on one of those shopping network/channel style infomercials pushing a 1GHz Tbird system said that you need a 1GHz Tbird to fully take advantage of Microsoft Encarta, calling the relationship "symbiotic". She said one should be extremely pleased that, since Encarta is included in the software package, none of the awesome computing power of that processor will go to waste.

At that time I had to switch channels because I was ROTFLMAO! :p

Encarta 2000 still looks pretty good on one of my friends P200. :)

no wonder my copy Encarta is uninformative and generally poorly written. I only have 400 Mhz P2. I wonder if she'd term my computer's relationship with Encarta parasitic.

I love watching them try and sell those computers on home shopping channels. My sister called me up once and told me to turn it over there because the lady was going on about what a good deal it was and wanted to know if it was a decent computer for the price.....I just started laughing.....

This is almost as good as my personal favorite claim by the home shopping folks.

"We pioneered TV OUT technology."

I see this idiot making these claims when I am channel surfing every weekend.

I like when they claim that the color coded cables/mobo's is exclusive to them.

When there's nothing else on TV I watch that stuff. I actually enjoy it, late at night I can never stop laughing. One time I actually called and made a testimonial, with the Joe Bob, Trailer Home Salesman accent. That was great, I was telling them how well solitaire and minesweeper ran on my new Pentium IV. :D

What kills me is when they show the 4mb ATI Rage and how powerful it is at running motocross madness on a 1GHZ Tbird :D

The latest in video processing technology.... 4 YEARS AGO!

anyone noticed how there is always a formula followed by infomercials? there is ALWAYS the dumb blond who doesnt know ANYTHING and treats a LCD like the second comming. And then there is always the smart and knowledgable man. He always explains everything to the dumb blonde (who more often than not has a wickid body and/or is wearing tight/apealing clothes) while she is constantly amazed at color coded cables, awesome multimedia speakers (you know, the $5 variety) and constantly says "wow", "amamzing" and other such colloquialism.
I find it qiute annoying and really do pity the poor saps who buy that sh!t...

what sickens me is they PRAY on people that no nothing about the machines and sell them a POS computer, I saw them pushing a P3 500 for over 2 grand "because you dont need all that power, you'll never use all of that processor power" dasm they really get under my skin, but then again I am an honest person.
