1gb vs 2x512

Any thoughts?
1gb stick with slightly lower timings say 3-4-4-8
vs
2x512 sticks with 2.5.-3-3-6

Pros and cons of each one? Whats better for content creation and gaming?

well it would help if we knew the system it was gonna be used in. But the 512mb sticks have better timings, and if the motherboard supports dual channel, then clearly the 2x512mb sticks will have the advantage. The only pro I see for the 1gig stick, is being able to add a second one for 2gig of ram in dual channel.
