Sure could take a lotta pics with that--if you had batteries that would hold up that long.

its actually 67.50 now but with 3.91 shipping at newegg, but i tend to check ebuyer for things since newegg is in california and ebuyer isnt.

would come out a little bit cheaper due to tax even if newegg shipping was free.

as for the people talking about using these for pics. i was thinking more along the lines of getting the 128mb rio forge, with usb2.0 and plug this into its SD expansion slot.

Wow! It's up to $85 now with $4.91 shipping at Newegg. Looks like I got mine just in time.

Actually Newegg has a distribution warehouse in NJ which is close to PA where I live so shipping time for me is pretty quick.

As for the RIO Forge, that's exactly what I'm going to use mine for except I picked up a RIO Sport S30S (64MB ver) at Walmart online for $50 clearance. I got my wife the RIO Sport S35S (128MB ver) and really like it with the updated firmware and the 512MB SD card in it. These will accept at least 1 GB cards and maybe bigger (2GB).

Fry's has been running the PQI 1GB SD for $49.99 AR. Don't know if it is similar on Outpost.com

i guess the main advantage of the newer forge and newer chiba's are they are recognized as like ata devices, so you can just put a sd in a memory reader, and copy mp3s to it and pop it into the mp3 player. that and the new players get recognized as drives with no drivers.

not sure if thats worth $50, but the usb2.0 might be.
