1GB Kingmax 66x SD card... 129 file limit per directory? wtf is that?

My gf bought a 1gb Kingmax 66x SD card for her Palm Zire 31. If I format it with FAT in Windows, it will cause an error as soon as I try to copy more than 129 files in a directory. Also, the same thing happens if I format it using the Palm Zire 31.

WTF is this? I've never heard of such a thing. I've tried formatting it multiple times.

Is there a 129 file limit?

Hi, The size of the root directory on any drive is fixed so is limited. A sub-directory is really only another file so is practically unlimited. Make a sub-directory. Jim
