So, I payed $6 to register a domain two weeks ago, and have had to call them several times with DNS issues. Bottom line: 10-minute hold time every time before they initially pick up, then you get the run around! Thanks, 1and1!

At least they have a toll-free number.

It could be worse, you could be paying for those minutes on hold if you had Go-daddy!

Thats one of the reasons why i switched domain registration to 1and1. :p

I had two domains registered through them. It came time for the yearly renewal and i wanted to move to 1and1 becuase they have toll-free tech suport, they're cheaper, and they offer more options for free. Like private domain registration information.

When i went to move to 1and1 it was a mess becuase it took me forever to get through the long distance tech support so i could get a "confirmation number" to have my domains moved. Tech support also lied to me to try and keep me as a customer telling me that it would be weeks before the domain would be able to be registered and all kind of bulls**t.

I've had email hosting through 1and1 for 3 years and going on 1 year with my domains and i've had no problems with them. I had to call their tech support a few times when i was transferring domains and it was pretty painless.

I'll never recommend Go-daddy to anyone.
