19inch 5:4 vs 20.1inch 16:10

Does anyone have a sideby side pic of these two sizes? I am trying to figure out how much shorter the 20.1 is compared to the 19 inch 5:4.

Edit: Im talking about screen size.

Shorter? Why don't you look up the published sizes of the various models (all will vary even for the same diagonal size)? The question is unclear at best.

Your going to have to compare two specific models. They are all diffrent because of the stands. I know with my Dell 2405 and old Dell 2001FP when they wre next to each other the actual screen sizewas the same. The Dells were very adjustable in their hight but the actual screen size was the same.

The screen shot doesn't do it's justice. I really should put them both on my kitchen table (which is big) and take a shot that way. I have it all hooked up though, so maby later.

Yes, the WS monitor is shorter, but it just looks bigger because of the wideness. You WILL like the WS monitor.

And just get the 20.1in. It's just plain better (smaller dot pitch=good)

20.1inch has the height of a 17-18 inch screen. But will be alot wider compared to a 19inch. Widescreen ftw

If you want to know the size of the screen:
Take a look at this picture.

That was before I got mine, so I took a photo off of Hard forums and basically took 5 minutes to edit it in paint.

Well, if my math is correct, a 20.1" wide will have a height of 10.65" and a 19" normal will have height of 11.87". So a 19" is about 1.2" taller.

i have an 18 in 5:4 right now. i'm waiting for the 22inch widescreen veiwsonic.

I'm sorry but the height of 20.1ws lcds is just like that of a 17 5:4, which to me is just a bit too small. (so I like bigger dots?), naw I just like my monitor a little futher away.
