I went in for the 50K tune up and was told that it did not need it cuz the car has a duratech engine which does not require service till 100K miles. I cant get info from the dealer nor GM.

I get regular oil changes and fluids replaced.

The engine is a bit loud especially on highway, but its been like that since i bought it (it was a cheaper version of the toyota corrolla)

my thoughts, too. duratech is ford name.

but anyway, check your owner's manual for the proper service intervals.

The only tune up item on your car that goes for 100k miles is the spark plugs. Everything else requires service at less frequent intervals.
And yes, the plugs should go 100k+ easily. I have about 115k on the plugs in my Tahoe and it's still running like a champ.
