Hello all, thinking about getting a 98 supra w/40k miles. I'm not sure if thats original motor or not. How are these cars in terms of reliability? How about repairs? Thanks

That engine is bulletproof. Over engineered. We will never see anything like it from Japan ever.

Very solid & reliable car ... if its the original moter & has never been wrecked I'd jump all over it.

IF you torque the head bolts properly...or did they fix the spec on the later ones?

jagec: the head recall was only for the 7mGTE, mkiv supras came with 2jze...

anywho...reliability depends on maintenence...any manf. can make a damn nice setup, but one idiot can fvck it all up
