1998 Lincoln Mark VIII?

I noticed a shiny red 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII in my neighborhood for sale. It's $3,500, and only has 75,000 miles.

I always wanted one of these cars since I was a kid. While other kids wanted Mustangs and Camaros, I wanted the "hot rod Lincoln".

Besides the infamous air suspension issues with this car, is there any thing else I should be looking out for?

Had a buddy that had one, it needed LOTS of repair over the short time he had it, so he got rid of it. I always liked them honestly.

The air springs aren't too bad if you do the labor yourself.

I love the Mark VIII's. I also wouldn't say no if I found a Mark VII in good shape.

I could be wrong but didn't ford have issues win transmissions in the 90's?

The 1-2 shift accumulator would get sticky on the the early 4R70W transmissions, and there were a couple other relatively common issues, but by '98 the issues had been fixed IIRC.
