1996 Buick Park Avenue

A buddy of mine is offering me his 1996 Buick Park Avenue with 140k and a brand new transmission for $1500. The car's in great shape, runs smooth as silk, and the brand new tranny was installed 6k ago by a reputable shop. Would you guys pick it up?

Honestly that sounds like a decent buy. Mom has a 98 and still going strong. I'd inquire about the status of the head gasket- if and when it was last changed because its almost certain to have been. If that particular example is in good shape its a smooth running, strong gas mileage boat.

I had a 87 Buick LeSabre (small 2 door version of the park ave.) and it had about 200k before the trans went. Other then that i could still be driving it if not for the trans.

Good safe car that will last well if taken care of.

My brother just picked up a '92 Park Avenue Ultra with 130k for $950. Car is mint and the ride is so smooth. The only thing we needed to change was the starter. I'd def. get it.
