Hey guys !
i am getting a 95 corolla DX, its in great condition, almost new for a 12 year old car, its white, the paint is in awesome condition, the car is AT, has AC, pwr drs, lcks, but not mrrs.
it only has 139K on it as well. Anyone know of good inexpensive mods/upgrades for this car ?

None!

Leave the mods out of it. Whether the 1.6L or 1.8L there ain't anything out there enough to warrant much of anything but trouble.

Treat it right and it'll run & run & run. Not much goes wrong w/ these cars.

Don't do an intake.. just leave it alone, it's an econobox it will actually just make your mileage worse.

I have the exact same car BTW.. cept mine is beige and has 137,000.

Since this is apparently the new meeting point for 1995 Toyota Corolla DX owners, I'll chime in. I have an excellent condition blue-green with 119K miles on it.

If you mod anything get some stiffer springs. Mine has a lot of body roll.

More like time for a set of struts not springs... Struts under normal use wear out around 100K miles some before some later just depends on the driving conditions more than anything... 20`s and crap like that have a BIG effect on wear also...

Struts do damping, no? That is fine on my car. You push down, it pops right back up and stops. It's just really easy to push down.

Hummm...? Guess doing this for 25+ years means I`m lost...? Go for it and change the springs but just remember how you did it so you can also change the struts to fix the problem... Also the old bounce test does not tell you anything about how good a strut is, it just tells if its totaly bad or busted... A strut with 10% of dampening will stop it from a bounce...

BTW I do frontend work (including all suspension work and alignments) for a living and just want you to understand roll control is done via the shock action and will have a much greater effect than a spring will ever... Extension dampening is what controls it and adds stability...

Also we own a 2005 Corolla S model and when it gets to the 80-100K mile mark it will get a new set of struts which will keep it riding like new... Great little cars 40+ MPG

no mods. just keep the money for the inevitable upkeep costs when things start breaking.

I have the same car in the same color. Too bad my right side speakers don't work and my front passenger side automatic window has to be rolled up from the driver's side.

there are no good mods or upgrades for corollas. you'll probably want to put in a CD player, though.

nah man, don't waste money to upgrade it.

you can't do jack to the 1.8 7AFE, unless you swap in the 4AGE

anyways, I had a celica which used the same engine, lasted till 240k miles.

Same color here :) Mine's a '93 DX though. 200K.

Here's some headlights.
If you want struts go with KYB GR-2s or Tokicos at shox.com.
I upgraded my horn and I'm really happy with it. Not embarrassed to use it now.

I had the same make/model a while back. Put a decent stero and some speakers in it and you are golden.
