1995 Olds Vacuum reserve tank

PRE-EDIT: As I was about to post this, my mom got a phone call, and she doesn't have to work tonight. But she might have to tomorrow night!

My mom ran over something several months back in her 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser wagon and the vacuum reserve tank started hanging down. They put it back up somehow. While driving home, we kept hearing a weird thump or grind sound and pulled into a parking lot, where the vacuum reserve tank fell out. I think that's it- the giant black plastic medicine capsule from over near the front right headlight? I don't know enough about cars...

She has to drive 12 miles to work in two hours. Her job is very important. I didn't notice any change in the car's behavior. Steering and braking are so far unaffected, but I don't really know what this means for her. Can she drive it to work and back on Monday so we can get it to a shop?

Since we're talking about my mom's safety, please only answer if you really know what you're talking about. I don't know where else to go at this time of night. Please help, and thank you!

If it's been disconnected you will have no brake assist or possibly clutch assist. I've disconnected but plugged my clutch vacuum resevoir in my car which only affects the pressure required upon starting.

So if it's disconnected, I'd plug the holes.

If it's still connected, just zip tie it up.
