Hi folks. Me again. I need your advice again!

This time, it's for a 1993 Dodge Spirit. Here's the info...

4 cyl 2.5 L Engine, Air Bag Restraint, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Stereo, Automatic 3-Speed Transmission, Bucket Seats, Center Console, Cruise Control, Fog Lights, Power Brakes, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Rear Window Defroster, Remote Trunk Release, Tilt Steering Wheel, Tinted Glass, Velour/Cloth Seats
(Courtesy of Edmunds.com)

It has 120,000 miles or so, but it got a new transmission installed recently. My cousin checked out the car and says that it's in great condition... a lot better condition than the salvaged

'88 Nissan Maxima he showed me.

His friend is asking for 1,500, but my cousin says he might be able to talk it down to 1,200. The guy wants 900 for the salvaged Nissan (it has 175,000 miles).

I'm really confused. I don't know what to do! All advice is welcome and greatly appreciated! :D

i wouldnt trust a salvaged car... you have no clue what its been through and what to expect from it.

of the two- definetly the dodge. But i think you might be able to do better if you find a ~90ish honda civic with high mileage in good condition.

The 2.5l and 3 speed auto are both pretty reliable, parts are cheap, and are pretty easy to work on. There weak spot are headgaskets but unless you over heat it you probably won't have any problems with it. Its not a powerhouse unless you get a turbo version :). I think they only had around 100hp.
