I offered 400 and they guy said ok, I'm supposed to go look at it later. The only thing wrong with it is the pull start cable needs replaced, but electric start works. It also needs brakes and the rear fender has a crack.

Those things are deathtraps, good luck.

BTW, if something were to happen to you can I have your computer? 🙂

Have you ever rode one? That is what everyone says but I find most people have never even seen one. I used to have one when I was a ride, rode the shit out of it

one of those kicked my ass when i was younger, i had been riding dirt bikes since i was small, but only been on the 3 wheeler a couple of times

long story short, i went up on two wheels and dirt trail instinct kicked in and i tried to right myself with my right foot, it ran up my leg and tore most of the skin off, tore my knee open on the footpeg, then drug me underneath and hit me in the back of the head, i woke up in the hospital

no permanent damage, but i definitely understand why people say they're dangerous...i was only doing maybe 30mph and a small trench in the pasture that would have been no problem on a bike was what felled me

I had one as a kid, it was incredibly dangerous.

If you're a level-headed adult going on gravel roads etc then it's fine. You have to do ALL your braking before you turn or it'll flip.

At $600 I'd pass and look for a 4 wheeler.

Yes, a friend had one when they first came out. I only rode it a bit, but didn't really care for it, the whole thing just seemed strange. But if you are familiar with them and want one...more power to ya. 🙂

Had a 200S and then moved up to a 200X when I was 14.

200X had a Supertrapp exhaust, extended rear axle, and a performance filter. Thing was unstoppable and never broke down. Loved the kick start compared to the 200S's pull start.

Kinda wish I didn't live in the city and could pick up a Tecate or 350X for fun times. 3-wheelers are a ton of fun and if you know how to ride em they are perfectly safe.

Any ride without footwells or at the very least a foot guard is a dangerous one. I never rode any dirt bikes in my younger years, but have been spending a LOT less on PCs lately and a lot more on my quad, making the switch from a sport ride to the beast over on the left, a Sportsman 700 EFI Twin.

They were safe enough for those well versed in how to ride them properly.

I started with an ATC 110 and ended on an ATC 200X before going on to dirt bikes and a Fourtrax TRX250R. My worst crash was on a dirt bike.

I do have to say that the quad was really forgiving of seriously stupid shit. 😳 I was more careful on a 3-wheeler, and my worst injury was jumping off one that was going backwards down a hill (got stuck going up) and my wrist got sprained hitting a tree branch after I left the 3-wheeler.

My parents still have a 1986 250 Big Red. Awesome work machine on the farm, and still going strong. I don't think we have ever had anything close to a dangerous crash with the thing. It's quite a different riding style than a 4-wheeler or a bike, but once you're used to it I'm not sure it's much more dangerous than either of those other two.
