I went and looked at one yesterday(to resell), the guy is wanting 225. I would have bought it on the spot but he didnt have the key with him and he was in the middle of changing the back tire and a few other things. It needs some carb work but he claims it will start up and run and it has a title. He said he was in a bind and needed the money and 225 is what he had in it. He is supposed to call me today, I figure this could easily sell for 500, what do you think?

For $225, you really can't go wrong with just about any bike that starts and runs and has a title. Seca 550 motors, and the later FJ600/FZ600 that were based on it, are near bulletproof, and easy to work on. Cheap parts aplenty on ebay. I have about ten project bikes in my house, but for that money, I might buy it just to have a cheap beater that I didn't have to give a shit about.

I drove it and it runs so I bought it. Here is a pics, crap quality since it was my phone

The speedometer isnt original, the seat cover is ripped and the brake lever is broke off are the main things. He also said the carb needs some work, it floods but I hopped on it and drove it, it shifted out good and doesnt smoke. I just bought a brake lever off ebay for 12 bucks

My first motorcycle <3. I must have put 50 some odd thousand kms on mine before getting rid of the thing and it never skipped a beat. It started to develop a weird problem where it wouldn't like to start the first go after being warmed up but cold was no problem. If I could find one for 250 I would be all over it.
