Wow, that reminds me so much of the Sears Christmas Catalogue! We used to look forward to it every year...I mean, really looked forward to it. :$ Our parents would get the majority of our XMas presents straight out of the book. Life was so much slower and simpler back then; you filled out a form with the item numbers you wanted and enclosed a check covering the total cost. Then, 4-6 weeks later a box would show up at your door. If the stuff came in 3 weeks you would've said "Wow! What fast shipping!" There was no such thing as the instant gratification that we have with today's internet and the PayPal way of paying for things. The world has changed so much and i feel lucky to have been a witness to it. But I still can't make up my mind which world I like better. :hmm:

Interesting that the stuff in that catalog appears to be so much better made than the cheap Chinese crap we get nowadays.

Arrrrrrrrrrr-goooooooos! :D

Even more interesting when I flip through these old catalogues and recognize stuff my parents and grandparents still use on a daily basis. There was a lot more pride in workmanship back then, and more pride in owning a well made piece.
