but why did you switch to Asus 8800 GTX? You are NOT happy with X1950 Pro

Why would he switch to two SLI'd 8800GTXs from a X1950 Pro? Who wouldn't if they could regardless of how good the Pro is? It's pretty much a given that the X1950 Pro is a dynamite card for the price point? Unless I misunderstood your question.

um, you can't compare a 1950 pro, or any other current DAAMIT cards for that matter, to an 8800gtx. For 8800gtx in sli you're talking $1000+ for video cards alone. He obviously bought some games that required much more gpu power and upgraded. 1950 is an older card that has aged well and will function very well for the vast majority of gamers who live with 19" monitors or less.

It really wouldn't matter if it was only one 8800GTX. Everything everyone has said still applies. Are you confused maybe with the 8600 series of cards? Also, don't get me wrong, I'm not picking on you, just trying to understand. Peace-Out.

The X1950pro, definitely. It's probably about as fast as that 7950GT anyway. I'm running one on a fairly overclocked C2D rig with a 460W Enermax PSU, so you won't need anything too hefty. Alternatively, like others are suggesting, you could wait a couple weeks for the G92 and RV670, to see if maybe you'd feel compelled to drop an extra $100 for a lot more performance.
