Then go for a really good DX10 setup about 2 months after BOTH nvidia and ATI setups are mature enough that people have a lot of experience with them.
a 7600 GT will still let you play every single game in decent quality
I'm not trying to be mean or anything but why would you upgrade to a x2 4200 right now? An Intel E6300 at stock speeds smokes it and is cheaper. I'm just asking.Originally posted by: Coldkilla
Well, I still play the old Operation Flashpoint (Its hard maxing that game out hehe). However I still play BF2, and Half Life 2, and Oblivion, and whatnot.
I hope my new x2 4200 will keep all the newest games happy for a long time coming. I hear all these things about x2 5000 this and whatnot. Hoping that 7600gt is a world away from 6800gt. but im gunna be buying a dx10 card when they come out.
mainly upgrading for armed assault

Sell it for 70 (shows some snowing after a while in half life 2) and bought it for 430 when it came out.

I've almost saved 400 dollars for a video card. If I worked a little overtime I could afford the 1950 XTX, however, dx10 is coming soon too. I have a 6800GT AGP currently. Would it be smarter to wait for the next gen gfx cards? or just go head and get the XTX?
