What the heck kind of car do you have? I can drive 600 miles and probably only take $80 of gas at the current prices here (like $2.70 a gallon). You drive the Hummer H1 or something?
Actually according to my math, I could probably drive there and back for less than $150, and I live in NYC 1080 miles away. At 29 miles a gallon for $2.70 a gallon it would cost me $100.55, which is almost exactly how much the discount is. (car is rated for 32, and I can actually get about that much on the highway but I figure there'll prolly be some traffic and rests and whatever...plus I want some leeway, so 29mpg is fairly realistic). Plus gas is probably cheaper out by Columbus.
Of course I guess I could think of it as "Buy and Xbox 360 and get free gas on a roadtrip to Columbus, Ohio" but I don't think I want a free 20 hour drive lol.
EDIT: Oh nevermind, I guess your from Tennesee. I thought you lived fairly close since you said "drive down there" so I thought you lived just a bit north of it in like Michigan or something.

I'm not sure what part of tennesee you're at, but if gas was $2.50 a gallon and you lived in Nashville you'd be using 60 gallons to go 760 miles, which is like 12.6 MPG on the highway.His profile says Cordova, TN. 1,146 miles round-trip. He'd have to get 29 MPG to make it for $100 (assuming he pays $2.50/gallon). Of course, that would kind of defeat the purpose. He could make it for a mere $75 if he got 38 MPG... These local deals don't seem to work out for me. Numerous times I have seen something I am interested in and it's 1,000 miles away. This time, I'm not interested in the item, and it's a 20 minute drive away, go figure.
As mikeford said though, more deals are bound to pop up in the near future for those who can't get in on this one.

Actually its a mail in bate. Like the difference between refried beans and fried beans. I wish fried beans tasted as good as refried beans because that would save alot of time... Fortunately for us the difference between bates and rebates is very small, apparently
