1920x1080 vs 1920x1200

Playing the new DOOM, would I notice a big difference in the above stated resolution?

Not likely. The next "significant" jump from 1080P would be 1440P.

I gave it a try and while the image was a big more CRISP, going from a 42" monitor to a 28" monitor was quite noticeable (especially to my almost 52 year old eyes, LOL)!

My brother in law got a BB branded TV and uses it as a monitor. Unfortunately the overscan on the right hand side blocks him from being able to see the close "X" button on Windows apps when in full screen.

But you asked about 1080p versus 1200p and now you are discussing a 4K TV so I am lost. To answer your original question i don't think you will notice a difference between 1080p and 1200p.
