ive gotten several offers from them, they defintely hire people for full time positions

I was a new hire out of college 6 years ago. They still recruit for full timers just the same even IF they take fewer.

Not saying I would sign the letter now, but just get something in writing saying they want to give me X job at Y salary, ya know

Keep in mind that if your in an employment at-will state, even such a letter means nothing. You could show up your first day of work and they could say, "sorry we were just kidding." Unless you have a contract, you're screwed.

F$ckers at AT&T did this to me my senior year of college. I had interned there for 2 years, they told me they wanted to hire me, kept calling me half way through my senior year to make sure I wasn't looking anywhere else...then one day just called and said I didn't have the job.

F$ckers. It's ok, I got a much better one with 2.5x as much vacation time and making a nickel more.
