Looking to get a 1905FP to replace my 19" CRT, and it has a 20ms response time. Anyone have some experience gaming on this LCD?

I don't have a problem with it at all. It's the only LCD I've ever used though so I don't have anything other than my old CRT for comparison. It is different and some games, particularly FPS games, don't look as good as they did on the CRT, but the trade off is well worth it.

Personally, I love the monitor but hate it for games. When playing FPS games, I get a feeling of lag that is very distracting... it was even worse when I played soccer on it. Currently, I run a dual monitor system with a 19" CRT and the 1905FP.

Pretty sure they make two different panels that they put in the 1905. One of them are suppose to be amazing for games. The other is suppose to be pretty craptastic. I don't think you will know what you've got until actually got the panel infront of you.

I never ever bought monitors without personally checking them. You should see it for yourself. Last time I have checked like thirty pieces of them before buying the one I liked. I suggest you do the same. You will likely not become the favorite customer in the shop where you do that but hey, you - presumably - want to use the monitor for years, so it is in your best interest. Of course if you live at a remote location and can't go shopping yourself it can be hard but it's like getting married online without meeting the person you marry. Sucks.

I have the panel that is supposedly good for gaming but it still doesn't live up to the expectations I gained through reading the AT review of the panel. But like the review states, first time LCD users are going to notice a difference no matter what and now that I've had it a couple of months I don't even notice anything odd about it.

Why spend alot of $ on something that just isnt good at gaming. To give you an idea, with the 1905FP will get a maximum fps of 50. Even though your video card can go higher, your monitor wont be able to. They are also very expensive. My advice, get a Samsung or a Benq because IMO the image quality is alot better than the 1905FP or any Dell.
Get this for budget: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014090
This for midrange: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001185
And for a very good picture: http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc...ail.jsp?eUser=&prod_id=LS19HABKB%2fXAA

I've been using the one with the samsung panel (20ms, the same one that uses the samsung SM 193P). It's one of the best monitors I've seen for static images, (good colors, nice viewing angles).

Unfortunately it is not good for gaming and watching videos.
