I know this is probably a dumb question and honestly I feel stupid for asking it, but would it be possible to run an ATI 1900XTX in an SLI board like the ASUS A8N32-SLI? I wouldn't think you could since SLI is an NVidia technology but I was just wondering.

So before anyone decides to flame me for the question, please take note that I DID already say I felt dumb for asking such a question.

Update: I searched around on the web and found a few places that say you can indeed run an ATI card in an SLI board, but I really couldn't nail down anything about running DUAL ATI cards in an SLI board. Would the dual ATI cards still run in SLI/Crossfire mode even in an SLI board?

Thanks in adavance.

Yeah, but you shouldn't be able to run it in dual mode (I haven't read anything about someone trying to run two ATi cards on an SLi board just to make sure whether it would work or not) if you know what I mean.

Makes no difference, you can run an ATI card on an nvidia-chipset board. You cannot currently run CF on an nvidia board (although it is evidently a matter of hacking the drivers, which however is highly impractical). Converse is also true. BTW ati card will work just as well on nvidia board and vice versa. (from all benchmarks i've seen)
