Right up there with my Sister-in-Law announcing to the family that she's been cheating on her husband for over a year, they're getting a divorce, and she's in love with a co-worker about a week before my son was born. That was a happy get together with my soon-to-be ex-brother-in-law.

Yup, but she wanted it aborted b/c of her parents (hardcore Catholics). Nothing I could say would change her mind. I already had my own place + job so it wouldn't have been that big a deal to support a baby at the time.
you asswipe. Catholics are PRO-LIFE! they certainly were NOT hardcore Catholics if they made her get an abortion.

got any other stories?
Maybe she wanted it aborted so that her hardcore Catholic parents wouldn't find out? At least, that is how I interpreted that post.

If you want an asswipe, here is one:

She only had three options. It is either (1) abort, (2) be stoned to death, or (3) do like Mary and pretend it is an immaculate conception.

She's catholic, not muslim

Or Jewish

I think the author was conveying sarcastic satire here as Moshquerade missed the point of the original post and directed a nasty personal insult toward the poster talking about the Catholic parents.
i don't think you can say i missed the point of the original post without verification from the poster.

Yes, I can say that because I am as entitled to my opinion as you are yours "you asswipe".

And yes I am not seriously calling you a "asswipe" just pointing out that you personally atacked him without confirming the context of his post and then tell me I can't judge that you made a mistake without a verification post from him. That appears hypocritical.

And for the record you are absolutely correct that I can no more confirm his context than you can but the difference is that I didn't viciously personally attack him without said confirmation.
Mosh is probably just pissed at me from another thread, hence the vitriol. ;) In any case, I saw that she linked MD and the notification law... but this happened years ago in NJ. And actually, it happened right before (roughly 6 months to a year IIRC) NJ passed their notification law. I remember calling my ex and telling her how lucky she was after that law was passed, b/c her parents still don't know to this day what she did.

So your claim is you took responsibility? I'm confused- wouldn't taking responsibility mean you would have a kid right now? Sounds like the girl shirked it and you allowed it to happen- obviously telling her parents would have had a good chance of preventing it, which you neglected to do. Please don't pretend to be on the moral highground above the gentleman this thread is about- obviously your not........

I think the same should go for GStringSamurai or whatever his name is.

Hijacking this thread like the douchebag hijacked the bday party.

I've knocked up a 17 yr old, who the hell cares? You do stupid sht when you're young. At least he's being a man about it and taking responsibility...

not at his cousin's 13 yr. old bday party, douchebag.

btw, plan B or RU-486 is a much better choice than having the baby.
Read the entire thread, dipsht, I agreed that it wasn't the right place. And pushing your views on abortion to people is a big sign of intelligence, lol.

You should've left the thread ages ago, loser.

And abortion ftw!

I agree, people stop pushing your pro-life agendas on us!

I'm not pro-choice, I'm PRO-ABORTION!

Read FREAKONOMICS to find why abortion is such a good thing.

Life isn't perfect..

He got her pregnant, he's a lazy ass, and he took initiative to ask her to marry him. That's a start.

Not everyone has kids at 30, married at 28 with a 50k job you know.. nothing is that perfect.

19 and 16 is not even something to worry about at all. If it's right, it's right. Even if it's not, he got her pregnant, and did the proper thing to do in often cases (vs running away/taking no responsibility for it)

I don't disagree that this guy needs a serious wake up call.
I don't disagree that he should have done this proposal stuff way after the party, but while people were still there.

This guy needs a serious wake up call either way. I need a similar wake up call I must admit. But I haven't done anything as serious as this guy, and gotten through it the way he did.

I failed the last year of high school. I went to adult education and finished it. He can too.

He needs to get a job, get his ****** together, and push forward.. That's what I would do.

I'm 2nd year computer science right now in college at 21.

Regarding the statuatory rape claims - most states have kind of a sliding window regarding ages. So a 18 year old and a 16 year old may be ok, but a 25 year old and a 16 year old isn't. Not sure what Colorado's looks like. And I'm not googling that at work.

Usually, 16 years old is legit, as long as the older person is not in a position of authority like a teacher or a police officer.

Exactly... look on the bright side; he's trying to take responsibility (apparently). Obviously he lacks tact and some basic life skills, but maybe you should help him out with that.

Not all Catholics are pro-life.

John Kerry is a pro-choice Catholic.

Maybe he will surprise you......

Speaking from experience.....I was 20....knocked up my wife, who was 16 at the time(1 month before her 17th bday). She finished school, completed college, and holds a nice job. I finished college, landed a damn good job and we have 2 little ones. One is 6 and the other is almost 2. We have been married happily for 4 years now.

Once we found out, I worked in a position that I despised, but knew I had to keep the money rolling in. I never relied on government money of any sort. Never needed too....I didn't mind to work, especially for the sake of my family.

Give the dude a chance to show he can manage. If he doesn't handle it, then rip on him.

They make these great inventions called "long sleeve shirts". Some of you may have heard of them :) If you can't handle wearing one, deal with the consequences I say!

Why the hell does a 20 year old man have to have sex with 16 year old girls? To put that into perspective, 20 years of age is right around the time most people enter their third year of university. Sixteen years old is like 10th or 11th grade in high school. Far too young to make a decision about the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. In my humble opinion, you took advantage of this poor girl.

If that had been my daughter you would have had to answer to my right fist.

Either you were very stupid and incapable of carrying on a meaningful relationship with women your age or else this is a made up story (shens).
