See full specs here: 1600 x 1200 max resolution, vertical refresh 50-160 Hz, dot pitch .25mm. Shipping is likely to be $10-$20 bucks. I didn't order one so can't say with exactitude.

Can't seem to find the manufacturer when I went to the link site.

From what I remember it seems to be a Samsung because I spent some time researching a
short nect 19 inch monitor about a year ago. I did see a reference to "Futura" though in the link
though.

I also tried clicking on the rebate info but didn't get anywhere.

Any insights from anyone.

If it is a Samsung and the 50.00 rebate is legitimate then it is a very good deal indeed.

I don't know how good this Futura 19" is, but I had a blue colored 17" Futura that was very low grade. I sent it back to the place I bought it (Directron).

That makes me VERY suspicious. You buy a monitor not only for the system you own, but for the next one, and the next one... I like to see a 3yr P/L warranty personally, but this is a price point model so you have to take that into consideration.

If you can't find any rebate information it is probably an in house rebate. Fry's does that all the time.

This deal is legit. I bought a Likom monitor from frys 3-4 months ago. It was a Likom shortneck monitor. It had no branding on it which I liked a lot. The model was a K9057. The quality has been very nice so far. I paid $197 for it and filled out a rebate form from Likom for 50 dollars. The rebate check came in 11 weeks. I would highly recommend it. The only complaint I might have is if I'd have to pay shipping costs. I bought my monitor in store and drove it home in my car so I saved on that. They've had this deal in Frys @ Wilsonville, Oregon for a while now.

Here is a link to the monitor:
Likom 19 Inch Short Neck (K9057)

I also found drivers on one of Likom's website but I'm too lazy to look that up.

THis may be the Likom, but there is a slight difference in the specs between outpost & the sight given by tjames214 -- one says the max freq at 1280x1024 is 86mhz, the other says 88mhz. maybe it's just a typo.

added: power consumption different too, 130w vs. 95w

IMO, this deal is not worth it. I had to swap back my old 17" monitor with my 19" monitor because the 19" have many problems. The color temperature has gone haywire, it flickers even at 85hz refresh rate, the H/V convergence is screwed up. And the monitor had the same exact 3 month warranty as this monitor have. Granted, this monitor uses Invar Shadow Mask instead of Aperture grill like mines so you won't have the convergence issue, but the 3 months warranty scares the heck out of me. The one good thing about this deal is that it clearly shows that the price of CRTs are dropping like crazy. If you are in the market for 19" CRT, I suggest you do full research on CRTs and choose 1 or 2 model that you like and wait a couple of months for their prices to drop to this price range.

STAY FAR AWAY!

I had a Futura 19" and it was HORRIBLE ( image was VERY blurry and distorted) . I returned it and took a $46 mail back hit and got a 19" Envision @ staples which was 200% better and been working fine constantly for a year no problems.
