19" Samsung SyncMaster: Need Advice...

I am about to go to Best Buy and buy a 19" CRT. The leading candidate right now is the Samsung Syncmaster series. Does anyone have this monitor and if so, is it any good? Also is $279 a good price for it?

I've got the Synchmaster 955SL. I think I'll pay more and get a Trinitron CRT next time. This has spoiled pixels in the left side of the screen. Otherwise, I'm not astounded by its clarity, but it's been okay.

I have a SyncMaster 950p that I got from Dell when they were having that great deal ($161 shipped!). It's big, it's beatiful, very sharp text, and great refresh rates. Not flat though.....

Also, when you say SyncMaster series, there are a lot of monitors in that category. Do you know what the one at Best Buy is?

I have the ad and I think you're referring to the 955df. I got from the Dell deal last month and like it a lot. I was lucky enough to get it for $200 ($160 if the rebate goes through).

It's probably the 955df for 279 then. I got mine for just bout the same price about a month ago. I'd probably wait for dell to have another sale (which is happening quite a lot lately). Try to get it under 250 at least.

I'm looking at my 955DF right now. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good 19"CRT. Perfectly Flat too with rich colors.

It even comes with a driver disk containing an ICM color matching profile!

I am looking at the same monitor as well🙂
Boy, am I satisfied or what!!
It didn't look great the first time I turn it on, but 2 weeks later, I start to see sharper image and overall very good color quality. Oh, and don't forget, my video card sucks in 2D quality...Geforce MXII, so I am guessing it could look better if I have a matrox or ati card.
you might find it cheaper elsewhere, but $279 for a nice flat 19" monitor.....hehe, u can't beat that!

by the way, that ICM matching stuff...does that really help? *___*
how come I don't notice such feature in my driver disk?
