19" NEC FP950

Anyone have an experiences with this monitor? I can pick one up for $300 CAD (~190 USD) and I was wondering if this is a good deal.

my friend has that exact same monitor... it is amazing!! I love the clarity on it! If you can really get it for $190 US I would not hesitate!!!

I dont have a NEC FP950, but got a NEC AS 90 (got it at $350 when it was selling for $500 ) Anyways, i love the NEC, great monitor for the price, and the warrantee kicksass. If anything goes wrong, call them up, they'll get you an RMA, and they'll send you a new one first! After which, you ship your broken one back (albeit at your own cost). If you live in Toronto, the repair depot your supposed to send it to is at 14th and Warden Ave (Northern edge of Scarborough and almost into Markham) so no shipping worries, jsut drive over and drop it off.

At any rate, it's a great monitor for $300

I have the FP950 for about 1-1/2 years now; runs purrfect! It has just about every control you can imagine to tweak the picture quality. It even has a factory focus control accessed through a hole in the left case side. Teamed with my VisoinTek GF3 Ti200, the picture is excellent. I also used it with a Voodoo4 which was also very good. I'am using a Monster BNC cable, but I can't say I noticed any difference from the standard included cable. Sounds like a good deal to me!
