My friend has a Samtron 98BDF and he says it is great...it is $184.20 at Sam's Club...it has that Dyna-Flat technology as well. It says 1600x1200@68Hz but he claims he can run at that resolution at 75Hz (obviously going out of spec) but that it doesn't flicker. I am going to the store to look at it myself but I am skeptical. Anyone use or see a 19" Samtron? I am not buying one now but I have read (and posted on) the other 19" Monitors topics on here and they are all very tempting, but if this is a good monitor then I will stick with this one.

Edit: Forget that monitor...if its not worth it, then the XF-9E I saw that someone liked in another forum is $185 with Free FedEx Saver Shipping on Newegg...wow!

Try the Viewsonic p95+, Can't remember how much I got mine for but I'm running 1600x1200 at 85hz. It's an old one though. I heard the new one runs 1600x1200 at 105hz which sounds really easy on the eyes.

yes i havent seen any flickering. at 1600x1200 that all i run it at. i run dual monitors and it looks just as good as my Phillips 109B4 which cost 80$ more. I have absoutly NO complaints with it. and if you have any probs with it KDS has a excellent RMA.

teh XF-9E is good IMO and my roomie thinks it loosk nice. its sharp and teh colors look great. has good OSD options and is an excellent buy. i would have 2 of them but i couldent find a second

Amazing, man. I'm glad I looked on here because I was going to spend $50 extra on something else!

I will check out Viewsonic's 19 inch ones more also, just because I have always loved Viewsonic but its going to be hard to unseat the XF-9E in my mind. I'm going to try and find the XF-9E in a store as well, just so I can see for myself as well.

yea i was just gonna say you should go see it first. and make sure its the XF-9E cause teh 9B wont do 1600x1200@ 75Hz. as i said before Im happy with it. best thing is that it does BLACK extreamly well its actually black and not teh weird lookin black that is actually bright. if you understand that.
