19" Monitor under $200 delivered

I ordered the Pixie 19" monitor at Staples (427880) for $299.98, pricematched it
at Micro-Pro thru pricewatch at $268 including shipping, applied a $40 off $200 coupon and applied for the $50 rebate through Staples, and received it delivered at home for $178 plus tax.

Alternatively you can pricematch to last Sunday's Staple's flyer in which they offered sku# 427880, without mentioning Pixie, for $279.98 less $40 coupon, less $50 rebate, or $189.98 plus tax.

Please note that Pixie $50 rebate expires this Oct 14th.

Found a review about the Pixie 995 monitor....usually small differences in monitors has to do with connector options or color....usually.

Based on the age of these reviews, I would gather the Pixie990 is very new, or OLD design......

One question... I've never ever pricematched before. How do I do it? Email me if you cant post it here, I'm not sure about the rules here for that. Please do it soon, I want to order this one!

I don't know th erules and it appears that Staples staff don't either.

Call them up at 1-800-3STAPLE.
Order the item.
Ask to apply the coupon and give them the coupon #.
Ask to pricematch against the pricewatch.com price or the Staples Sunday Ad price.
They'll varify the price and delivery in the case of the pricewatch price. BTW the pricewatch IS the price Micro-Pro will honor, even though their web page asks a higher #, and they say that if you enter their web site thru the priceline page.

And, if you don't get what you want from Staples, just hang up without ordering and call again immediately. Sometimes it takes 3 calls before you find someone who knows the score.

Do you mean the rebate needs to be received by the manufacturer by the 14th or that you have to purchase the monitor by the 14th? Because if I order the monitor today, I won't get it by tomorrow to be able to send the rebate to the manufacturer on time. So, I assume you mean I would have to purchase it by tomorrow. BUt, I just wanted clarification. Thanks.

The rebate says that you must purchase it between October 5, 2000 and October 14, 2000. It must be postmarked by November 14, 2000. But it also says "Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions. " Does this mean if we use a coupon we wont get a rebate. I have one on its way but I will be displeased if I dont get the $50 mail in!

You can use a coupon and still get a rebate.

The 14th is the last day to PURCHASE under that Stables rebate.

I did it! It worked, woo hoo!

The first lady I talked to went right through the procedure and got it right off the bat. It was $232 or so after taxes, then with the $50.00 off rebate.

I Did it too!!!!!!! I got it shipped for 255+ plus free shipping. so when i get it the rebate mailed in i will have the monitor for only 205.58.You cant beat that with a stick!!! Thanks for the info.. !!!!

An update:

The specs on Pixies website are correct, they are wrong on Staples.

It is a 19? .25mm Dot Pitch, not .26mm that Staples shows as.

I got mine in last night (~$190 shipped after MIR). It is a fantastic monitor, it is bright and very crisp. Still a good deal even though the $50 rebate is over.
