I've decided to invest in a 19" FLAT monitor to replace my Sony Multiscan 17sfII.

The models I've been looking at are:

Samsung SyncMaster 900 NF (aboout $425 shipped)

Sony CPD-G400 (about $440 shipped)

LG Electronics Flattron 915FT (about $360 shipped)

These monitors all have about the same qualities, 1600X1200 res at >75hz.
The Samsung and LG have BNC inputs which is a plus.

Anyone else have these monitors? Opinions? or other suggestions in this pricerange?:)

900NF is certainly a nice, popular monitor around here. search for other threads about monitors, and watch as it comes up

Check into a Cornerstone. They are the best I have seen.

I have two 19" Sonys, an E400 and a G400. I have also been through three Sony warantee replacments in the last six months. Bad news!

All good monitors, the Samsung 900IFT is good as well, btw I`m using a LG 915FT Flatron and it`s slightly better with BNC connectors good colour detail ,nice text etc I`m happy with it.

You can get the sony cpd-g400 for 420 shipped through staples

plus if it is defect, they pay for the replacement and shipping.

after taking back a Viewsonic 19" that was fuzzy and blurry, after that I have set out and have done TONS of research and concluded that the sony g400 has had the best [compliments to problems] ratio rather than the samsung 900NF. The professional reviews have been very good too. Also the monitor has a 2nd jack for a 2nd computer, which is cool. then u can hit the switch to switch between them, i'm planning on getting a vga box so i can play my dreamcast on the monitor at excelent clarity, and then switch to the computer easily. wihtout messing with the cords.

The Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 is awesome...I love it. Better than any monitor I've ever seen.

I'm curious about that LG monitor, I personally havn't heard much about it...but I have a friend that swears by his.

Do the Sony and Samsung do 85hz at 1600X1200?

My vote for the Sony!

ander: Yes, the Sony G400 can do 1600 x 1200 @ 85 Hz according to EMScomputing dot com or here
