19" lcd widescreen tv as a monitor

Hello, I'm currently using an Element 19" LCD as a TV monitor through a VGA cable and GeForce 7300 GT. The resolution is set at 1440 by 900 pixels which I believe is the native resolution for using this TV as a monitor. The picture is good enough to read but there is slight blurriness that is kinda hard to describe. One example is when displaying black text on a white background, the text leaves streaks that create a "double vision" type of blur. For pictures, such as my desktop icons, the actual image looks perfect but the areas around them have these weird streaks. Anyone have any idea what this is and how to fix it?

Here are the specs of the TV for reference

So its VGA not HDMI. Well then it sounds like the v-sink is off. I have this problem on my 7300GT. When i use the HDMI to VGA converter to go to a CRT monitor the V-sink is off. Thats only because that connector was damaged. The computer was dropped and landed on its back. The Adapter was still plugged in and it messed us a couple of pins on the connector.

But while the TV has VGA it wasn't really meant to be used as a PC monitor so the quality isn't going to be that good. I think thats where your problem is. If it was better suited fro being a PC monitor it would have HDMI rather then VGA.
