Here's the deal. I do development work, web design work, but then I like to play games. I've been doing my homework on LCD's and video cards.

My current configuration is:

2.53ghz P4
geforce ti4200
512 rdram
15" Flatscreen CRT

I'm looking to get a 19" LCD that will allow me to really up my resolution from the current 1280x1024, and something that will handle games. Currently I've got SoF2, I know it's a little dated but it's fun.

Will be geforce ti4200 support the 19" LCD? If not what will? I'm looking at the Dell 1905B or the Viewsonic VP191b, then I want a graphics card that will suport it. I'd also be interested if I could get dual monitor support so that I could run both my monitors. I figure I could always just go back to the CRT for the games if need be. I'd like to keep the card and monitor at around $500. Less if possible.

L90D+ (330)

500$ = great video card and great monitor!

exactly my thought Ex. you won't find better for the money. although there is some 19" on sale at newegg, $100 rebate or something gets you around 250 but i'm not sure of the response time. its in hot deals.

L90D+ rocks for games. ALso, 6600GT should do you fine, but if you want something a little faster, the X800XL is a hell of a deal for $250 if you have more cash in your budget. I'm happy with my 6600GT, but if i were buying now, I'd probably shell out the extra $80-90 for almost double the performance. Also, sometimes you can find 6800GTs for $250, so that's a good deal, too.
