Well, it doesn't say anything. I don't even see anything about the MIR and IR.

I'm wondering same thing. The "mystery LCD" . What is it. It's definitely different than the 19" Envision EN-9110 on sale at Costco. Tia.

well didn't get to costco in time for the lcd there so thought i'd give the od lcd a shot. weird item. nobody at od knew what it was. no brand markings on the box. very little info overall. first of all, no dvi connector. :( definitely a bummer. the warrenty card goes to http://www.gemca.com and the number on the back is st1904k1. looks like it corresponds to something made by topvision, a taiwanese lcd maker. here's the page with the link to the specs downloads:

http://www.topvision.com.tw/download.htm

looks like it's a slightly different version of their usual st1904k1 model. the instruction manual lists all the same specs except the dimensions where there's a sticker over a line with slightly diff dimensions. the original listing(under the sticker) matched the one listed in the pdf.

except for the lack of a dvi port, the specs look pretty decent. 1280 x 1024 and 15/10 ms refresh. anyone with more framiliarity with lcd's got any opinions on this? besides the lack of a dvi port, it looks pretty nice. is it worth it to just keep it or should i return it and wait for a better deal?

When I was digging around a bit on OD's site, I came up with the OD rebate form for this monitor. It says it is a Microtek. In looking at Microtek's site, I come up with either the 977M or JTX V96 as possible black 19" LCDs. The monitor does not seem to be available here in Wisconsin, nor can I find either of these on OD's site. Both Microtek LCDs look pretty good though if they are in your area?

Hobart, unclebud, and madalien, thanks for all of your input. I returned the "mystery LCD" at OD after I didn't see any easily identifiable brand on the box or monitor. I was able to find one of the Envision En-9110's at Costco. They had a pallet of 20 to 25. About half of those went in the first 5 min. When returning the OD LCD the mgr. confirmed that it was indeed a Microtek. He was very polite to help the new cashier with the return, though he seemed a little irritated when he saw the receipt. The previous mgr. in the A.M. allowed me to use the Staples $30 off $150. Maybe he was just busy today huh? Oh well, thanks for your help all.
