Office Depot had this same deal back in Sept (here).

558866 KDS® XF-9b 19" CRT Monitor $177.38 less $30 rebate and $50 rebate. Rebates found here. (Type in 558866)

There is a $30 off $150 code that works for this online and can be found in the thread about this deal at FW.

Good find.
Hope the coupon goes through. B&M sometimes rejects them (or they "don't work on the computer").
I own this monitor (bought it maybe 4 months ago) and it is pretty nice. I paid $100 and felt like it was a steal. Rebates came through without a problem.

Tempted to get another...

Thanks allisolm!

Just ordred mine w/30off150 cpn.

My price AR/AC +tax & FREE shipping= $80.05

I sure hope they send the KDS-XF9b as advertised and not the KDS-XF9bi.
The XF9b has higher refresh rates at max res than the XF9bi does.

I've heard that they will send either one!

I'll tack on my standard FYI about this item.

There are 2 different monitors... 1 with the model# XF-9B and another one, model# XF-9Bi
OD thinks they are the same, and so they have the same "558866" OD part#.
The 2 monitors have significantly different specs. the XF-9B supports a significantly faster refresh rate.
All the OD's in my area only have the XF-9Bi (with lessor specs).
The stats on the web-site show the XF-9B

I got in on this deal about a year ago, and was lucky enough to find an OD with 1 remaining XF-9B monitor sitting next to a half-dozen XF-9Bi's (which the manager thought were the same-- since they have the same OD part#)

I got the XF-9B, and I'm quite happy with it. For me, refresh rate is important.. so I doubt I'd be happy with the lessor XF-9Bi. (But for ~$70, I'd probably live with it...)

Moral of the story: If you're going to a B&M and can pick your own monitor... check the shelves for the better XF-9B instead of the XF-9Bi. HOT deal if you can find a XF-9B... WARM if you get 'stuck' with a XF-9Bi.

btw: my deal had a rebate with "XF-9Bi" on the rebate, I purchased the "XF-9B"... and rebates arrived, no problem

I bought one last time around. The monitor is great, nice display quality.

As for the rebates though, the $50 rebate for me was magically "lost". I ended up calling their 800 number and talked with a very helpful woman. She explained they never got my rebate, but that I could send the photocopies in to her directly and she'd take care of it. Sure enough, about 2 weeks later I received my rebate. :)

Anyway, remember to make copies of all your rebates before you send them! You never know when they might be "lost" in the mail....

Funny, isn't it, that the ONLY pieces of mail the post office ever "loses" are rebate forms. ;)

I sent out for a big $100 rebate a while back and even paid extra for Certified mail. The bums at USPS lost it! They couldn't trace it after it left the facility. When I asked them wth do I have to do to make sure my mail don't get lost, they just shugged and said sorry. Ridiculous.

I have had the wonderful USPS lose 3 of my certified mails before. They are just a pain to deal with.

I ordered online and the UPS just dropped it off.
I received a KDS XF-9s model. The specs on this are no where to be found on the NET. KDS Canada doesn't even have it listed on their web site.
I have some specs for it, but I wanna know if it will do 1600x1200@75Hz like the XF-9b (non i) does?

Can anyone clarify this for me?
Not sure my old GeForce Ti4200 can handle it!

The rebate forms (Both of them) Clearly state XF-9s on both of them. So that should not be a problem.

ttown: This unit is Black/Silver trim. The back states XF-9s with a manufacture date of August 2004. If only I could get my beer that fresh! BTW, thanks for the info you found.
I sent an email to KDS Tech Support asking for drivers and specs for this model.

I installed it as a KDS XF-9Bi and all seems to be working fine. A very nice monitor for the price!

dang it... XF-9Bi got delivered...
Was hoping for XF-9B or XF-9S

No invoice or packing-slip.... so what do I do about a "receipt" for the rebate??
Does the emailed order confirmation work as a receipt?

Anybody know?

I believe when I got mine there was some sticker on the box that said where to ship it and stuff. I cut that out and sent it as well as the confirmation email they sent me.

Thanks allisolm! These really are a great bargain at this price.

Just a reminder that they seem to all come from the factory with contrast set at 100%. I turned the contrast down to 70% so there is possibly more room to increase it as the monitor ages.

Same here! Nothing inside the box like a shipping invoice or receipt!
I called a CSR and she said she could fax me one. I don't have a fax machine so she gave me a direct number for their reciept request line #1-561-438-7739. They are closed on the weekends, but you can leave a message and they will send it to you VIA FAX or Email. It's a very lengthy message and didn't hear the whole thing (too many ppl talking behind me). Also, the message stated you can go into the order info page and print that. It doesn't look like a legit receipt to me.

Anyway, I'm gonna call that number on Monday when they open and get a "real" copy.

Why don't you print your order summary off the web page when you order it? I have done this numerous times to get rebates, never been a hassle.

Is there anyway to buy online and pickup at the store? I'd like to take advantage of that $30 savings for orders over $150 online, but I would also like to make sure I'm getting the correct model.
