I didn't know they had 19" HDCPs out yet. I had speculated it would take them at least a year but lo and behold what do I see here...

Samsung 940BW is another 19" widescreen with HDCP support.

I jumped on CompUSA $90 rebate deal for 940BW, then I saw that BB has LG L194WT in stock at $299 minus $100 gift card I got for free ;)

So far I like L194WT much more than 940BW. Only issue I have with LG though, it didn't come with any color/brightness/contrast adjustment software like Samsung.

LG forteManager doesn't work with it? You can always use softMCCS as well.

Neither one works with L194WT.
Any other software I can try?

According to the spec sheet, the L194WT supports DDC/CI (DDC command interface) so it should be working. I think there's a driver problem.

What connection do you use? What graphics adapter? In addition what OS and drivers? What do the applications report as an error/what happens?

x1900xt w/ Cat 6.6, Win XP SP2 and monitor driver from LG.

It seem neither program can read the DDC.
I get no error messages at all. Just can't use any of fuctions.

I was just curious to see why you preferred the lg over the samsung, I'm in the market for a 19" wide screen lcd and I've narrowed it down to these 2 models, can you clarify exactly what made you go with the lg?
