Hello

I was wondering if any one had a good suggestion for a 19 inch monitor Black?

I was looking at these two but I am not sure which one to go with. I was leaning towards the Hitachi since everyone on neweggs comment board was raving about it and its a great price. Plus with the Hitachi it has no aperture grill lines. I am going with black becuase I want to match my case.

MultiSync FE950+

CM721FB Black

Any feed back would be appreciated.

I have a Mitsubishi 17 in Diamond Pro and I think it is wonderful. Have also used a 21 inch and loved it. Not sure WHICH model you were looking at from Mitsubishi but www.provantage.com has these prices:

Mitsubishi DP920 for $316.80 (white?)
Hitachi CM721FB for $245.74

So check out that site. It is cheaper than newegg for the Hitachi by $24. Of course shipping might make a difference. I have bought from both sites with no problem.

If it is the FE950+BK model then it is:

$285.62 at provantage.com
$295.00 at newegg.com

Again check shipping costs.

Welcome to the forums :)

I'm using a Dell P992 over here.
It's cheap, it does 1600x1200 @ 85 Hz, it's an FD Trinitron tube (ie it looks great), it's midnight grey (black for all intents and purposes). What else could you ask for? ;)

i've been using the FE-950+ for about a year now and i LOVE it. i was kind of afraid because i got it online and hadn't seen the grills in person before, but the lines are near invisible. the only thing i would of done differently was try to find a local place that sells it, i think the S/H was like $30. i don't know anything about the hitachi, but the MultiSync is EXcellent.

I think that black electronics are way overpriced! I wish they made all the monitors in both colors!

One thing to remember, if you do any art on it, it will be too bright on a beige monitor. The black edges make the screen look darker.

Chaotic,
Completely off topic: why do you say that about Indiana? I have a job interview there and not sure if I want to move there.

Heh, well, it's not so bad really.

I'm a southern boy. I grew up in Mississippi and Louisiana, literaly in the woods. I was taught a code of ethics by my parents, teachers, and church members. They raised me to be a southern gentleman.

You always say please and thank you.
You never ever say "no" or "yes" (no one word replies).
You always say sir and maam, in every sentence.
You don't curse in front of women.
You put ladies on a pedistal.
You hold the door open for people.
You talk to people that you don't know like you do know them.
You raise your children with discipline.
You act friendly to others (smile, talk, etc)

That's just how I was raised. These principals are, in the parts of Indiana I've been in, non existant here. I've lived in Indianapolis and Bedford (~20mi south of Bloomington) where I am now. I can only speak for these places, and my experiences might be unique. I just get a general feeling of feral, selfish, rudeness here.

I've only been out of the deep south on one other occasion, and that was to New York (Stone Ridge). I found the people in New York (and NYC) to be an order of magnitude more hospitable than the people here in Lawrence County, IN.

I don't mean to trash the place, as it is nice, there are certainly good qualities to it. The people here just rub me the wrong way.

Heh, I hope I didn't scare you off!
