Am happy with the 900NF Iibought. I bet I will be more happy when I get a decent GPU to go with it. It comes with a nice software package that realy helps to get it adjusted corectly, and the menu covers every controll you think of. The picture is sharp and coulours are good, but not spectacular. With white background I can see the lines due to the Aperture Grill (AG), but it doesnt bother me. Refresh rates are great. Looks good at 12x16 but again with this GPU I cant get the max refresh at that resolution.
The cable is detachable which is a major plus, after having a monitor cable short out on me a while back. And it has USB ports that I will never use.
another drawback is there is at 1280x1024, I have a slight black border around the viewing area. Kinda dissapointing, but not bothersome.
I wasnt impressed with the 955DF i saw at best buy, but it coulda been the crappy demo they were running.
for $300 from dell, I doubt you could go wrong.
THG just did a review on some CRT monitors that I havent heard of. you might want to check out their reviews. monitor reviews are hard to find, and looking at em in a store with an unknown video card, and dubious software doesnt always give you a good idea.
For primary gaming, I have read many people who realy like their 955DF. I do alot of 2d too, so im more picky.
