http://www.phantom-dust.com --Phantom Dust is a new 3D action Japanese anime-inspired anime game Halo 2, Magic the Gathering, Mail-Order Monsters, & RPG combined with DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS (watch ur powers crumble walls & buildings on your foes)--it's been getting rave reviews from gaming magazine & sites ..

up to 4 players can battle it out simultaneous over system-link, Live, or splitscreen or XBconnect.com (FREE internet play without Live)
with their custom-made characters they custom make using strategy of health vs energy, various skills that stack w/ each other like Magic the Gathering

Strategize & choose from over 300 skills that stack or block each other, increase health, speed, energy, etc ..from offensive lightning swords to fireballs, cloaking, defensive vampiric attacks or reflection shields, and teleportation, health or energy, etc --but u have to balance the 'deck' u outfit your character with enough skiills vs. enough energy/health/recharge rate to power them). Fantastic graphics better than Halo2 --and it's only $19 new too!

"Battles take place on a higher intellectual plane. This isn't simply jump, shoot, and strife. Phantom Dust is all about executing a string of well-thought-out combos while Tokyo highway overpasses crumble and craters tattoo the arena with every encounter. Most of the destructible environments play a hand in the battle too. A well placed shot at a catwalk will send it crumbling atop a careless opponents. Other battle zones slowly crack to pieces as the battle wears on, causing not just collatoral damage, but personal injury to unsuspecting players.

Deep, polished, and complex gameplay await buyers of this $20 Xbox budget title. It's in the price range of most gamers, but seasoned players need only apply. In order to stay competitive in online battles and tricky boss battles, players must head to an underground lab in the game to edit one's "arsenal." Up to thirty skills can be assembled into an arsenal, which is essentially a deck of powers that are taken into battle. Tweaking an effective arsenal before the fight, assigning skills mid-battle, and keeping an eye on your health -- all while battling an opponent -- makes for an overwhelming experience even after twenty hours of play. But for players longing for thought-provoking gameplay that is joyfully complex and phantasmal in its visual flare, Phantom Dust delivers.

All of the game's 300 base abilities can be collected by completing solo campaigns or purchased through credits in the game's skill shop. Skills are ranked by rarity. Players will accumulate possibly dozens of common skills like the quick and upclose "Psycho Knife, " along with other ultra-rare skills seldom found in Mac's skill shop. The hunt for all 300 of these powers is daunting but enjoyable, and is essential for those looking to play competitively online over Xbox Live. "

There was a $20 rebate coupon at Gamestop.com for this game, but you had to order from them on either March 8th or March 9th.

Thanks - its always nice to know about the deals we CAN't get...:disgust:

But, it does sound like a really cool game for $20 anyway. Thanks, op!

It's $19 everywhere 🙂 that's the standard price.. Electronics Boutique & Gamestop have it already.. the other stores (like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc) should be getting it this weekend or next week since they ship to their regional warehouse first before being sent to local stores.

lol, actually, it is a hot deal considering it's a brand new, just released Xbox game from Japan for $19 ..when the Japanese import was normally $69-$79+ --damn glad it's been moved over to the US --hopefully, it does well so more games of this type (3d action/RPG 4-player) will be created & more Japanese games will be ported over.

There's no hot deal. Just an advertisement for some game. Lock this up.

This has always made me laugh. If you don't feel it a hot deal, why bother posting??? Some people need to get a life.

Oh, and this is a Hot Deal. Most $20 games are just high prices coasters (then again, so are some $50 games) but this one is a diamond in the rough. Check it out. Nuff Said.

Ape Out.
