Hi all...
I have got a budget of $290-$342 for a 19" CRT Flat...
What should I get...

are NEC/MITSUBISHI screens good...??

My prefered resolution is around 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024
I dont plan to go to 1600 levels...

About the refresh Rates.... 60,75,85--100+//... How much do you guys use..??
The more the better??

I haven't really kept up on the monitor front lately, so I can't recommend a specific monitor.

as for refresh rates, generally anything >= 75Hz is all you need.

I have two 19" monitors, one Trintron and on regular FST, they are both set to 1600x1200, the Trinitron is at 85Hz and the other is at 75Hz

Personally I don't notice any flicker on the Trinitron and sometimes I can notice slight flickering on the FST.

Any 19" monitor will have a high enough refresh rate for the resolutions you'll be running at.

the Mitsu/NEC screens for the most part i think are the trinitron tubes...to me its not all that...i mean they good..but i just dont like those 2 thin line that i can notice without any problems..mabey i am special...lol 😀

all i can say is i have been using my samsung dynaflat monitor for 3 years now and its great. just like the day i bought the thing..and those i know will support about 85hz @ 1280*1024. so that sould be great...

But i recommend a samsung..for sure
