Anyone know what this may be if a rebadge? The picture (however probably inaccurate) looks like a BenQ.

they are all benq (both burners mentioned in this thread) afaik
i picked up several boxes at om (no staples here, but compusa carries hi-val)
looked at the back, 4816a, 4824p
that's benq, i bought one on the prev om deal for same

Careful. I bought the $20 special from OMAX last xmas and it was an optorite. I could get it to only burn at 40x (rated 48/16/48) and it was having a very hard time reading any type of media. It's been sitting on my desk ever since xmas. I found this in an I/O Magic box.

I found 2 tonight.. 1 at Woodland Hills, and 1 in Van Nuys.. both were in stock (only 1 at each store) and both Managers saw the printed ad and had no problem selling them at $19.94 + tax

Got a Magicspin with Nero 6 and the other is a I/O Magic with Nero 5.5 😛
