Hey all -

The company I work for is thinking about taking the plunge and buying all the designers LCD's to replace our CRT's. While the CRT's we have are great they are presenting two major issues.

1) Space they take up
2) Heat they emit

So.. What I'm just doing right now is research. Trying to determine what the best price/performance LCD's are out there.. Being a place that does lots of design work we need pristine visual quality. There will be NO gaming done on these boxes however video work will be done (as far as ghosting is concerned).

The issue is currently we all have dual 19" CRT's.. So.. If we were to get LCD's we would either be shooting for dual 19-20 inchers or possibly a single 23"+ solution if one existed at a reasonable price.

I have heard great things about Dells LCD's (2001fp and their new 19" one).

What do you all think?

Thanks,
Adam

At $348 for these at http://www.citrusmicro.com they are a great deal.

They not only are DVI and look very cool the picture qualtiy is excellent. 2 of these are lower cost than 1 21" LCD - hard to pick 1 display slighty larger - more-so when your company is already used to the idea of 2 dispalys...

I would go with two 19" lcds, because they are about the same price as a 24" dell, but give much higher resoulution and space to work with - 2560x1024 vs. 1920x1200. I would go with two dell 19", they get down to ~350 during the sales.
