A Yagi is a directional antenna. I am not sure they make a yagi with that kind of radius but I suppose it's possible.

To answer your question. Repeater. A WAP54G for instance would work. Or if the WRT54G is WDS compatible, and I can't remember if it is or if a firmware upgrade enables this functionality, any WDS compatible device on the remote side would work as a WDS Bridge/Repeater. The question would be distance, obstructions, and so on for the Parent to bridge link.

Because of the price structure of Wireless Hardware there is No use for strange concoction. I.e. buying Yagi coax extension cables etc. would cost the same is the same as using inexpensive bridges (repeater) in an a place in between to extend the converge, and solve the problem correctly with two piece of hardware.

Wirelessly Bridging Home / Network.

Your issue is covering distance. Whether you have a Wireless Card or an AP or what ever on the Far side of the property is secondary, the main thing is to get a signal to the further point.

Putting Directional Antenna (or any Antenna) indoor would not help too much.
