I had some minor damage to my 2001 Dodge Intrepid ES and got a check for $120 diminished value. The damage to my vehicle was not close to $6700, it was right around $2000.

Is the vehicle already fixed? What's the 17 c rule? Maybe get a new insurance company if they aren't fighting for you. Ask for more money but highball it. Be stubborn and you might get closer to what you are asking for.
