Just ordered a 1800xp tbred (£60 inc shipping uk) and I was wondering what to expect from it. I currently have a 1600xp@1743 / 1.95v in a koolance case. What likelyhood Do I have of hittting 166fsb? my board is a 8k3a+ so I have lots of voltage adjustment available. I have heard they come unlocked can anyone confirm this ?

They do come unlocked, however only newer motherboards (based on KT400 and nForce2 chipsets) can properly manipulate the multipliers. You can work around this by simply shorting the 4th L3 bridge. Just take a conductive pen and draw around the pit. Typical results should get you around the 2100/2200 PR levels. Just so you're aware, don't be as liberal with raising the voltage on the T'bred, conventional wisdom says the upper limit is about 1.75 volts. Good luck with the new CPU. Peace.
